Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, organizing, and staging materials to support production and warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility while maintaining accuracy, cleanliness, and compliance with all safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse, production floor, or storage areas.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Accurately pick, stage, and deliver raw materials and components to production lines.
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, or work orders.
Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning, labeling, and documenting all material movements.
Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with safety and 5S standards.
Report damaged materials, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisor.
Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and other warehouse-related activities as needed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse and production operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred.
